Investing success relies on thinking of your investments as your own business.

Don’t ‘cut corners’ on caretaking your investments. Treat them as the serious business they deserve to be. The difference in value over time could be amazing. Know your competencies and team up with capable investing partners to enable first-rate execution of your plans.

Ben Graham

Investing is most intelligent when it is most businesslike.

It is amazing to see capable business people try to operate in the stock market with complete disregard of all the sound business principles through which they have gained success in their own undertakings. Yet every stock should be viewed as an ownership interest in a specific business.

When seeking profits from security purchases and sales, investors are embarking on a business venture of their own which needs to be run in accordance with accepted business principles if it is to have a chance for success.

Steve Jobs
We don’t get a chance to do that many things, and everything we do should be really excellent. Because this is our life.
